Lies, Damn lies, and the Quirky mixed-race girlboss universe Presidency
Panderla Harris, the final boss of the M-She-U, brought to you by ambiguous oligarchs and tech bros
BREAKING NEWS: Well, I guess a little more late than breaking but Biden is out, and as his Heir Apparent, Kamala Harris, “California’s Corrupt-est Top Cop”, a woman who famously dropped out of the 2020 primary just weeks in garnering less than 1% in the polls and with ZERO delegates, has been given the nod as presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee.
Biden, after recognizing Joe Manchin was disappointed in him, decided midday today to leave the race and bow out “gracefully”; though we here at Counterspin see it as a giant mistake and Biden’s biggest gaffe ever - he should have never entertained a second term and made it clearer in 2020 that he didn’t feel he had the capacity to serve more than 4 years, as he eluded to at the time.
Frankly, we at Counterspin stand by our decision in 2020 that he should not have run at all, but he was in fact able to win and had - albeit a paltry, skin-deep and misguided - vision for the country, at least in his public positioning. America’s better days were still yet to come, that we could invest in our technology sector and focus on domestic issues for a change, that we were a force for good in the world.
I don’t think he believed the last part, I think much like the rest of us he understood that it’s all a mixed bag and things are never so uncomplicated, swings and roundabouts. Investments are easy enough when you dole out government contracts with stipulations in them, but a force for good?
Biden’s administration will forever be tarnished with the failed exit of Afghanistan which left millions of lives in the balance and countless dead in the wake, this itself a Trump administration spearheading but initiated under Biden.
So was, of course, the failed COVID-19 handling and subsequent vaccine roll-out. And the therapeutics. And the mandates. All of the above just in the first year. We all remember that, right?
By 2022, forced by governors/congressional members to change tact and by the nature of the virus/divine intervention itself in Omicron, the Biden admin was able to mostly shrug it all away and try to “get America back to work”, itself another failed blunder that left cities across the US still reeling from the failed “post-pandemic” reopenings of businesses across myriad industries. Hundreds of billions in revenue lost forever, an economy still sputtering in spite of the Trump boom years of spending spending spending.
2022 would also of course give birth to the Ukraine/Russia Conflict/Russian SMO in Ukraine, the hideous monster of failed diplomacy and a breakdown in basic humanity that has left (by estimates) more than a million dead or missing in action across both countries, with untold more disabled or otherwise rendered mentally broken as people, through today as an ongoing event.
The Biden family famously had its grubby little paws all over Ukraine through Burisma and Hunter Biden, this was known long before 2016 and was by no means “Russian disinformation”, as would come out in the laundry.
Victoria Nuland of course would be a prominent face in the Biden administration during this period, herself an architect of the 2013-14 Ukrainian Maidan, an uprising of ultranationalist neonazi fascists which would go on to power in politics within the country.
And then there’s…
Cackala Harris, 1%
Kamala Harris has had, at best, an unremarkable time as Vice President, beyond some unfortunate gaffes of her own. Her focus on the southern US border, a primary office policy position, didn’t seem to change very much from the Trump era.
Families were still separated, children held in extrajudicial internment, the fence didn’t keep anyone out, the checkpoints were theater more than actual security.
In fact, to the contrary, the country would become preoccupied with wave after wave of migrant caravans, those peoples fleeing the harsh repercussions of American foreign policy over the past few decades.
Of course, this isn’t something a VP (or a President) can really solve without a functional Congress, and while Democrats had a brief majority in 2021-22, they punted and didn’t pass meaningful legislation to solve the problem, trimming around the edges and merely adding band-aids to the gushing wound, keeping the status quo.
Kamala, aside from a few press events or stump speeches for Biden, has been a non-entity and just waiting in the shadows for “her turn”. Already thought to be a candidate in 2028 after a presumptive Biden 2nd term, Kamala bided her time.
And now here we are, in 2024 with a President Biden who has visible Parkinson’s and a country that still largely wants nothing to do with Kamala Harris. Biden is out and Kamala Harris is the presumptive nominee, with an apathetic public at her back, and a man who recently survived an assassination attempt to her right.
What’s a quirky girlboss to do?
More as we get it, because Kamala has never ever communicated a plan before and has never had this sort of opportunity presented to her. That’s why she was at 1% in the polls and had zero delegates before dropping out and throwing herself at Biden. Nice feelings and neoliberalism don’t cut it anymore, and the public is already deathly aware.
Will the polls reflect this? Is Trump right, that Kamala Harris is an even easier candidate to take on? Or is it really her turn?

I've received two communications from Kam since her relationship update, and I'm pleased to announce that she and I are already on a first name basis. She's told me all about herself, her turn ons include public service, especially prosecuting criminals, and hitting some trail or other. I tell her this is great 'cause I like hiking a lot too, and I fucking hate being robbed by criminal bears. She brought up the subject of money and I asked what she was wearing. She texted " pant suit" the rest is personal.
She has all the qualifications she needs. She’s “black”. She’s a woman. That makes her super qualified to be President. Anyone who doesn’t agree is a racist and a sexist.
Unfortunately, the left is fired up and ready to rumble, and I fear we have no chance in this election cycle. They are hyped like never before to get their diversity VP and of course to beat Trump. Meanwhile Republicans are just wishing it was all over.
Ironically we’d be better off if Biden had made it through a mediocre debate and managed to stay on as the Democrat nominee.
